IMPACT OF LABOUR'S PROPOSED TAX INCREASES ON THE SOUTH-EAST
EDM number 821 in 1990-91, proposed by Jacques Arnold on 09/05/1991.
That this House deplores the Labour Party's intention to increase taxation on people earning more than ú400 per week; notes that this would penalise non-manual workers in the South East on average and higher pay, including doctors, policemen and inner-city school teachers; and condemns this attack on the living standards of millions of families in the South East.
This motion has been signed by a total of 32 MPs.
