That this House congratulates the Wakefield and District Trades Union Council on the achievement of its centenary year; commends it for the central role it has played in the struggles of the working people of Wakefield since 1891; and, recognising that strong and active trade unions are an essential part of a free and democratic society, wishes the Council continued success in its future activities.
