Andrew Holloway - Poll Tax Prisoner
EDM number 724 in 1990-91, proposed by Tony Benn on 18/04/1991.
That this House, recognising that conscientious objection to unjust laws has often contributed to their repeal, wishes to place on record its admiration and respect for Andrew Holloway for the principled stand he took against the infamous poll tax, for which he was sentenced to a term of imprisonment by Wimborne magistrates in Dorset.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
