Fishing Tie-Up And The Hon Member For Stirling

EDM number 625 in 1990-91, proposed by Alex Salmond on 20/03/1991.

That this House notes the sneering contemptuous attitude displayed by Government Ministers during the Fishing Tie-up Debate on 5th March; notes that this dangerous, life-threatening measure now affects many more Scottish boats than the rest of the European Community put together; notes that 28 Scottish honourable Members voted or told to revoke the regulations with only the honourable Member for Stirling voting for them; notes that Scotland's fishing communities have no intention of being subjected to a Forsyth Dictatorship; and demands that the Government organise and respect the opinion of a new debate on the tie-up regulations which should urgently be held in the Scottish Grand Committee.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
