Lung Cancer On Merseyside

That this House expresses deep concern at the high level of lung cancer on Merseyside; draws attention to the report of the Cancer Registry of Lung Cancer Incidence of 68 per cent. above national average with higher levels, 76 per cent., among women; and calls for immediate action by the Secretary of State for Health and the Chief Medical Officer to take all necessary steps to investigate the cause and treatment, including financial assistance to the health authority.
