EDM number 588 in 1990-91, proposed by John P Smith on 11/03/1991.

That this House in recognition of the exemplary conduct and achievement of British Forces in the Gulf as well as the unique and at times extreme conditions under which they operated calls upon the Government to consider forthwith the payment of an 'active service premium' in line with other coalition forces involved in the conflict and in keeping with the expectations of many of the returning soldiers, sailors and airmen who served their country so well.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
