Congratulations To British Forces In The Gulf

EDM number 560 in 1990-91, proposed by Tim Rathbone on 04/03/1991.

That this House congratulates all ranks of the British contingent to the Allied forces in the Gulf for the exemplary way they carried out their duties in support of the United Nations resolutions requiring Iraq to cease its aggression against Kuwait and to withdraw from that country's territory; applauds the quality of the leadership given to each of the services, the bravery of all those engaged in active service against the aggressors and the skilful military planning which produced such an historic victory against so large an enemy army with so few casualties.
