Northern Ireland Social Security Legislation

That this House urgently requests the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to introduce amending legislation in respect of the Social Security (Credits) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1975 and Regulation 7 (iii) of the Social Security (Unemployment, Sickness and Invalidity(Benefit Regulations Northern Ireland) 1984 which would allow people to claim unemployment benefit and payment to be made irrespective of industrial tribunal awards which have been specified as compensation in cases of unfair dismissal.
