Conduct Of The Hon Member For Teignbridge

That this House notes that on 5th February the honourable Member for Teignbridge put his name to the honourable Member for West Dorset's proposed Motion (Independent Newspaper and the Republic of Turkey (EDM 402) deploring 'unpleasant and offensive remarks made in The Independent' which 'should have no place in a quality newspaper'; notes that on the same day the honourable Member described in a brief speech various honourable Members as 'bogus' and 'boring' as showing 'a complete hatred... of... the employer classes', as 'piranha', 'ridiculous', 'primitive', a 'bosses' nark' and as 'a ludicrous spectacle' (Official Report, 5th February, columns 197 to 199); and believes that such unpleasant and offensive remarks should have no place in a quality Parliament.
