Scottish Regiments In The Gulf

That this House is proud of the high professional standard which has been demonstrated by all the volunteer members of the British Force on active duty in the Gulf; condemns the senior spokesman of the Scottish National Party for introducing anti-English racialist comments about the number of Scots and Scottish regiments serving with the United Nations' Force; and further condemns the Scottish National Party for its false claim that in 1940 the 51st Highland Division was abandoned at Dunkirk because it was a Scottish Division and was expendable.
