PARKINSON'S DISEASE
EDM number 399 in 1990-91, proposed by Ernie Ross on 01/02/1991.
That this House recognises that Parkinson's disease is a major neurological disease with potentially serious disabling consequences; is aware that it necessitates the taking of drugs continuously and for life; believes that it is unjust for young sufferers, apart from those on very low incomes, to have the additional burden of paying for these drugs; and calls upon the Government to give automatic prescription charge exemption for drugs that are essential for the relief of Parkinson's disease.
This motion has been signed by a total of 77 MPs.
