State Of The Economy

That this House, concerned at the increasing unemployment and the adverse impact of a developing recession, calls upon the Government to re-consider the decision to join the exchange rate mechanism; and further calls on Her Majesty's Government to reduce interest rates and to promote new economic policies to stimulate the economy and boost the manufacturing industry.
