Telephone Advice Lines And The Gulf;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 333A1 in 1990-91, proposed by Tom Pendry on 25/02/1991.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'notes that all revenue from Red Rose Radio Gulf Advice/News telephone line goes into the Red Rose Community Trust, a registered charity which every year disburses thousands of pounds to worthy causes in the local community, further welcomes the fact that a proportion of that revenue is going via the Red Rose Community Trust to Gulf Link, the charity set up to help dependents of those serving in the Gulf, notes that this information, together with advice of the costs of calls to the telephone newsline, is given on the air to Red Rose Radio listeners, and regrets that staff at Red Rose Radio should have been innacurately accused of 'insensitivity and greed' and of 'nauseating opportunism' without any opportunity to reply.'.

This is a ammendment to 333.
