LONDON'S GREEN BOROUGH OF THE YEAR AWARD

That this House congratulates the Liberal Democrat controlled London Borough of Sutton on being designated Green Borough of the Year by The Green Guide to London; notes that Sutton's environmental record was described as almost universally excellent; congratulates the Chair of the Environment Committee, Councillor Paul Burstow, for the considerable part he has played in making Sutton green and clean; and commends Sutton's latest green initiative of offering mileage allowances to council staff who cycle whilst on workday duties.
