The Family Government Of Kuwait

EDM number 309 in 1990-91, proposed by George Galloway on 16/01/1991.

That this House notes that 11 out of the top 12 ministers of the Government of Kuwait and four out of the five Provincial Governors of Kuwait all share the same surname and are members of the same family, the As Sabah family; further notes that British forces are being committed to fight, some perchance to die, for the restoration of this government and expresses its deep concern at the prospect of British soldiers dying in support of a government which has not a scrap of democratic legitimacy.
