Compensation For Haemophiliacs (No. 2)

EDM number 294 in 1990-91, proposed by Sam Galbraith on 15/01/1991.

That this House while welcoming the Government's decision to compensate haemophiliac patients who have contracted the AIDS virus through the infusion of factor 8, recognises that there are others who have also contracted the AIDS virus through the infusion of whole blood or platelets, and calls on the Government to follow the logic of their decision and similarly compensate these patients.
