That this House welcomes a response from Mr Tony Perry, Allerdale's Chief Executive; notes that if it is argued in the recess that the covenant referred to in Clifford Barnett's letter of 5th July 1985 is not the guarantee which is of such concern to ratepayers, such a proposition begs the question, at what stage after Minute 304 was approved by the Keswick Station Site Committee at 4.15 p.m. on 10th July did councillors first learn of the existence of the guarantee; further begs the question why Norman Turner of Intercity was not informed of the existence of the guarantee to enable him to change his bid in the same way that Clifford Barnett had been able to.
