Improvements To The Palace Of Westmimster

EDM number 1187 in 1990-91, proposed by Bob Cryer on 23/07/1991.

That this House calls on the Leader of the House to ensure that rooms are available by booking to ensure that disabled visitors have an opportunity to rest before, during or after a tour of the Palace of Westminster; calls on the Services Committee to publish all bookings of the private dining rooms by honourable Members to ensure full accountability for the use of these expensive facilities; and recommends that the possibility be explored of the Royal Gallery being operated as a cafeteria in the mornings to provide visitors with a place to rest and eat in view of the appalling lack of such facilities except for the wealthy minority booked into the private dining rooms.
