End Of Sanctions
EDM number 1109 in 1990-91, proposed by George Gardiner on 11/07/1991.
That this House welcomes the decision by President Bush to end United States economic sanctions against South Africa which, though imposed with the best of intentions, have in fact brought deprivation to black families and hindered their economic advancement; and warmly congratulates Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Chief Minister of KwaZulu, and other black leaders on their successful campaign on behalf of black workers and their families to get sanctions lifted.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
