Official Visit Of The Chilean Under-Secretary Of State For Foreign Affairs

That this House warmly welcomes the official visit of the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Chile, Mr Edmundo Vargas; congratulates the government of President Aylwin for his efforts to expand and consolidate freedom and democracy in Chile; is committed to support, at all levels, a substantial programme of economic and financial co-operation so that the Chilean government can carry out their plans for social justice and sustained economic growth for all the Chilean people; and hopes that the efforts of Chile and other Latin American governments for peace and prosperity, in unity, succeed.
