Staffordshire Wildlife Trust

EDM number 1014 in 1990-91, proposed by Joan Walley on 20/06/1991.

That this House congratulates the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and the campaign coordinated by the Royal Society for Nature Conservation to protect those few remaining wildlife meadows; notes that in Staffordshire less than 150 meadows remain; recognises that most of those which have been destroyed have been lost through agricultural improvements; and calls upon the Government actively to promote a nature conservation policy.

This motion has been signed by a total of 31 MPs.
