That this House records that the Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services has not yet responded to specific complaints laid by the honourable Member for Worsley on 7th May 1989 and 12th April 1990; considers this to be sadly typical of the arrogant way in which this unrepresentative body operates; ponders what chance the general public has in having complaints satisfactorily dealt with when honourable Members are ignored; and finally calls upon Her Majesty's Government to establish a statutory body to replace the Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services forthwith.
