Retirement Of The Prime Minister

EDM number 946 in 1989-90, proposed by Margaret Ewing on 03/05/1990.

That this House wishes to remind the Prime Minister of her pledge in an interview with The Financial Times on 14th November 1985 that she would resign in 1990, when she reached 65 years; would like to point out to the Prime Minister that she has just five months left in office until, in her own words, 'someone else will carry the torch'; and requests that the Prime Minister keep her promise and free the nation of her uncompromising, unfeeling and unresponsive brand of 'leadership' as soon as possible.

This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
