Labour And The Roof Tax

That this House notes that despite the clear promise made by the honourable Member for Cunninghame North that figures would be given to show the cost distribution of Labour's Roof Tax before the regional elections on 3rd May, the honourable Member for Glasgow, Garscadden has refused to divulge this vital information; and draws the conclusion that Labour has been unable to devise a system that will, like local income tax, give effect to the principle of ability to pay and are determined to hide this fact from the electors of Scotland.
