National Curriculum And Holocaust Studies

EDM number 852 in 1989-90, proposed by Greville Janner on 05/04/1990.

That this House congratulates the National Curriculum History Working Group on the proposal, in its Final Report, that the events of the Nazi Holocaust should be taught in Britain's schools to 14 to 16 year olds; believes that it is essential that schoolchildren are able to learn about the evils of fascism, anti-semitism and racial genocide; and urges Her Majesty's Government to implement this valuable proposal as a core part of the history national curriculum.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
