Domestic Electricity Bill Rebates

EDM number 850 in 1989-90, proposed by Rhodri Morgan on 04/04/1990.

That this House notes with concern recent reports that prospective shareholders in the electricity distribution companies may be offered rebates of 10 per cent. on their domestic electricity bills as an inducement to buy shares; and considers that any such rebates should be extended automatically to all retirement pensioners.
