Poll Tax and the Under 20's

EDM number 815 in 1989-90, proposed by Richard Livsey on 29/03/1990.

That this House believes that all young people under the age of 20 should be exempted from paying the community charge, as in most cases they do not have the ability to pay, placing an additional burden on their parents; and further urges the Government to amend their community charge legislation to enable young people to be free of the poll tax.
