'Axe the Tax'

EDM number 811 in 1989-90, proposed by Harry Barnes on 28/03/1990.

That this House warmly welcomes peaceful protest against the poll tax, one of the most unfair and unjust taxes imposed since the middle ages; in particular, highlights the contributions of recording artists and pop stars; and especially welcomes, as a contribution to maximising such protest, the recently released record of the Cannibals, entitled, Axe the Tax, which calls for a national referendum on the poll tax.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
