Independent Living Fund (No.2)

EDM number 806 in 1989-90, proposed by John Hannam on 28/03/1990.

That this House recognises that the Independent Living Fund is enabling many disabled people to live independently in the community; expresses its deep concern that the Treasury wishes to abolish the Fund; and calls upon the Government to preserve and strengthen the Fund, provide the necessary resources and thereby prevent disabled people being forced into institutional care against their will.

This motion has been signed by a total of 29 MPs.
