"wet Wet Wet" Concerts
EDM number 723 in 1989-90, proposed by Ernie Ross on 13/03/1990.
That this House finds it difficult to accept that after many national campaigns drawing attention to the needs of the disabled, the management at the National Exhibition Centre were not aware that unless special arrangements were made at recent concerts then the wheelchair disabled would pay ú12 to watch thousands of backsides obscuring the group Wet Wet Wet; and in the circumstances, as well as seeking an assurance from the National Exhibition Centre management that all disabled people who attend future concerts will enjoy unrestricted viewing, considers recompense is due to the disabled members of the audience attending the recent concerts.
