Defence Committee Inquiry Into Colin Wallace

That this House notes the inquiry by the Defence Select Committee; and urges that it call before it Mike Taylor, the security clerk in Wallace's unit, Information Policy, and also one of the technical/ printing/reprographic people, Clive Ponting, Ministry of Defence civil servant who told Channel 4 News in 1987 that he had attended meetings in 1983 with MI5 officers to discuss 'containing' the allegations of Wallace and Holroyd, David Barclay, 1985 Cabinet Office official who acknowledged, in writing, Cabinet Office receipt of Wallace file sent to the Prime Minister in 1984, Simon Routh, 1985 Private Secretary to Lord Trefgarne at the Ministry of Defence who was dealing with correspondence with Wallace, Peter Broderick, former head of Army Information Services in Northern Ireland and Wallace's erstwhile boss, Penny Brazier, maiden name Penny Sadler, security cleared secretary in HQ NI who worked with Wallace in Information Policy, who is said by Wallace to have typed some of the documents he has copies of, including Clockwork Orange 1, Maurice Tugwell, retired British Army officer, first head of Information Policy Unit and, at the time, friend of Wallace's, Gordon Shepherd, Information Policy colleague of Wallace's, Hugh Mooney, Information Research Department officer who trained Information Policy personnel and guided it through its first year, Colin Wallace and Fred Holroyd.
