That this House deplores the unlawful action of British Telecom in reducing its contribution to the British Telecommunications Staff Superannuation Scheme from the August 1989 payment in the absence of an actuarial certificate of disposable surplus; and further calls upon the Trustees of the British Telecommunications Staff Superannuation Scheme to make meaningful improvements to the benefits to members of the scheme if any real surplus accrues.
