Phoenicia Hotel (Malta) Dispute

That this House condemns the arbitary dismissal of 158 employees of the Phoenicia Hotel, Malta, by Trusthouse Forte, the owners, backed by police and government agencies: recognises that these workers have a just grievance on wages and conditions; urges the British Labour Movement to support their demands; and calls on management to invite Angelu Fenech, the General Secretary of the General Workers' Union, to meet them in London or any venue to discuss a solution to the dispute.
