Conduct Of The Rt. Honourable Member For Manchester, Gorton
EDM number 529 in 1989-90, proposed by Andrew Rowe on 13/02/1990.
That this House deplores the typically vile and offensive remark made by the Right honourable Member for Manchester, Gorton, at Prime Minister's Questions on Tuesday 13th February; recalls that the Right honourable Member was a Minister throughout the last Labour Government which never introduced comprehensive or general economic sanctions against South Africa; further notes that his entire political career has been as devoid of principle as his conduct has been of good manners; and suggests to the Leader of the Opposition that even his own interests would now be best served by an early substitution of this deeply unpleasant spokesman.
This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
