Leave out from 'Government' to end and add 'not least because they appear to take absolutely no account of the fact that the Head of State in the United Kingdom is a woman, that the head of the Church is a woman and that women Members of Parliament are increasing rapidly in number as a clear reflection of the fact that they face distinct advantages over males seeking similar positions; reaffirms its belief that all candidates for all positions should be judged on ability and experience; and concludes that the worst possible service which can be dealt to women is the introduction of positive discrimination in their favour.'.
