Congratulations To Mid-Sussex Liberal Democrats

EDM number 357 in 1989-90, proposed by Simon Hughes on 22/01/1990.

That this House congratulates Mid-Sussex Liberal Democrats on the plethora of environmental measures they have included in their Environmental Charter for Mid-Sussex; welcomes the holistic approach to the environment they have adopted; notes that local councils have the scope for considerable action on the environment and that this scope has been much explored by councils controlled by the Liberal Democrats; and calls upon the Conservatives on Mid-Sussex District Council to reconsider their implacable opposition to measures destined to protect the environment by endorsing the proposals of the Liberal Democrat group, in the interests of local people, the environment and good government.
