Enhanced Definition Television

That this House believes that the demand for high definition television will be superseded by the digital transmission of television pictures; and therefore calls on the Government to withdraw support for the EUREKA HDTV programme in favour of the speedy introduction of enhanced definition television, using existing receivers, and the development of a United Kingdom digital television industry.
