Household Refuse Disposal In South Wales

EDM number 291 in 1989-90, proposed by Allan Rogers on 12/01/1990.

That this House requests the Secretary of State for Wales to resist any proposals by the Cardiff Bay Development Corporation to remove putrescent refuse tipped at Ferry Road, Cardiff over the past 20 years to any site or sites in Mid-Glamorgan, on the grounds of : (a) public safety from the disturbance of asbestos, (b) the environmental dangers of foul smells and vermin, and (c) the ecological hazard of methane leakage.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
