East Midlands Motor Services Ltd;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 252A1 in 1989-90, proposed by Richard Alexander on 16/01/1990.

Leave out from 'House' to end and add 'notes that the recent industrial dispute at East Midlands Motor Services Ltd. centred on the dismissal of a Mr Edinboro for his alleged removal without authority of antifreeze, and the dismissal of a Mr McCann for refusing to carry out his duty as a bus driver; that the overtime ban initiated by the trade union threatened to disrupt registered bus services which the company has a legal and moral obligation to maintain; and further notes that the company has taken the requisite measures to provide continuing bus services on which so many families depend on and support, thus demonstrating a management commitment to the community, a commitment which is absent within the trade union.'.

This is a ammendment to 252.
