That this House recognises the problems which may arise after the handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997; appreciates the contribution of the people of Hong Kong to the Commonwealth in peace and war; notes the strong connections between Hong Kong and the schools and universities in Northern Ireland; and welcomes the Government's decision to honour its responsibilities to the people of Hong Kong.
