The British Aerospace Industry's Trading Balance

That this House congratulates the British Aerospace Industry on setting a new monthly record for exports in September of 768 million, bringing the total aerospace exports for the first nine months of 1989 to 5.3 billion, an increase of 27 per cent. over the same period last year, while aerospace imports for the same period were only 3.4 billion, thus continuing the industry's positive contribution to the annual balance of payments account, which this year is now set for 2.5 billion.
