Opera Facilities In Llandudno

EDM number 238 in 1989-90, proposed by Donald Coleman on 19/12/1989.

That this House regrets that the Secretary of State for Wales has not felt able to support an application for assistance for building a new theatre at Llandudno which would provide the Welsh National Opera Company with a facility capable of staging grand opera in North Wales; notes with dismay that without such a theatre the Welsh National Opera is unable to tour North Wales with its full range of productions; hopes that the Secretary of State's decision is neither final nor irrevocable; and calls on the Welsh Office to find the means to enable an early go-ahead for this worthwhile project.

This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
