Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa
EDM number 190 in 1989-90, proposed by Alan Meale on 13/12/1989.
That this House believes it imperative that that the Government examine in detail the present and future medical provision requirements of those suffering from chronic disabling conditions, especially those suffering from dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, which are particularly costly in budgetary terms, but for whom ample resource provision is essential in providing a satisfactory standard of care and quality of life; and further calls upon the Government to guarantee that people suffering from such illnesses will not be militated against in considerations because of any financial or other changes introduced into the National Health Service.
