Conservative Members And Haemophiliacs
EDM number 1421 in 1989-90, proposed by Roland Boyes on 17/10/1990.
That this House notes that 35 Conservative honourable Members signed an Early Day Motion about haemophiliacs infected with the AIDS virus through contaminated National Health Service blood transfusions, in which they said that they had every confidence that the Government will act soon to resolve this tragic situation in a manner consistent with its sympathetic and positive behaviour in the past; and believes that unless the Government pays compensation, the confidence of its own backbenchers will prove to be unjustified.
This motion has been signed by a total of 41 MPs.
