That this House congratulates the City of Glasgow District Council and everyone concerned in the achievement of replacing the former world famous St. Andrew's Halls, destroyed by fire in 1962, with a brand new ú28.6 million Royal Concert Hall, officially opened on 5th October 1990, thus commemorating in the most satisfactory way the award appropriately given to Glasgow as European City of Culture 1990.
