Planning Appeal In Swansea
EDM number 1358 in 1989-90, proposed by Alan Williams on 25/07/1990.
That this House calls upon the Secretary of State for Wales to note that the Brocks Wine Bar planning appeal is being made by the same developer who moved bulldozers onto a site in Gowerton in contravention of assurances given to officials; notes that he made a specifically forbidden access to a road, that garden fences were demolished and sheds removed; is disturbed that his employees allegedly manhandled councillors and journalists; invites the Secretary of State to consider the South Wales Evening Post report which has been forwarded to him and to reflect on whether such a person is suited to run a late-night drinking club, especially when that club is immediately alongside terraced residential accommodation; and expresses its belief that the licence on these premises should be revoked.
