Retention Of The Red Hand Of Ulster
EDM number 1311 in 1989-90, proposed by James Molyneaux on 19/07/1990.
That this House recognises that the Red Hand is the one emblem which is identified with Ulster and which has support amongst all traditions within Northern Ireland; deplores the proposal by the newly constituted Northern Ireland Tourist Board to remove the Red Hand from future publicity material; and calls upon the Board to reinstate the Red Hand so as to please both sections of the community in Northern Ireland and improve the identification of Ulster tourist information material throughout the world.
