Sheffield Wednesday Fc
EDM number 1301 in 1989-90, proposed by Robert Parry on 18/07/1990.
That this House deplores the decision of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club totally to ignore the recommendation of the Taylor Inquiry that the Leppings Lane Terraces should be a seated area; rejects the lack of sensitivity of the Club towards the relatives of those supporters who died; and calls upon the Club to think again and put the safety of supporters before profit and as a matter of urgency to accept the findings of Lord Justice Taylor, both as a gesture of respect for the dead and as a positive gesture for the safety of football supporters.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
