Dumping Of Toxic Waste In The North Sea;amdt. Line 6:

EDM number 126A2 in 1989-90, proposed by Alan Beith on 15/01/1990.

Leave out from 'environment' to end and add 'condemns the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for applying to the Oslo Commission for toxic waste dumping licences on behalf of Sterling Organics Ltd., Orsynthetics Ltd. and Fisons Ltd. which allow 49,000 tonnes of harmful toxic waste to be dumped in the North Sea in 1990 and is a direct contradiction of the above agreement; and notes that the Federal Republic of Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Norway objected to these companies being licensed, and yet by allowing North Sea dumping to proceed this week the Government have shown their contempt for international action to protect the environment.'.

This is a ammendment to 126.
