Leave out from 'competition' to end and add, 'and points out that it would most certainly have happened earlier but for the belligerent anti-football attitude of the Government, a factor which could have only hindered individual performances in the competition as, at the very least, it severely restricted experience of other types of European play with the international footballers involved.'.
